German manufacturer Opel will set to work to create a second-generation crossover Antara, the premiere of which will take place in the next two years. Unlike the current version of the model of Opel Antara, which is often criticized for not having an expressive exterior, the car generation “next” is a stylish and eye-catching design. In the exterior of the crossover will be used stylistic solutions embodied in the form of compact “SUV” of Opel Mokka.
According to independent critics, the most striking elements of the exterior will be pentagonal grille with chrome crossbar, teardrop-shaped head optics with LED sections, sloping roof and rising window line. In the range of motors of Opel Antara of second generation we will be able to see new diesel core with the capacity of 1.6 and 2.0-liter and 1.6-liter gasoline engine. Volume of 2.2 liter of a diesel one, which will replace the current 2.2-liter engine will be available in several versions of power output. Potential buyers will be able to choose between “mechanics” and automatic transmission with eight speeds.
Depending on the model, Opel Antara will receive modern multimedia complex with a touch screen, adaptive cruise control, collision warning system and recognition of road signs. The premiere of the new Opel crossover will take place in 2014.
