The first market for electric Opel Ampera-e will become Norway

German company Opel has officially announced when and where it’s going to begin European sales of new electric vehicle Ampera-e of 2017 model year. The first market for environmentally friendly car will be Norway, where the car will go on sale next spring.

According to representatives of the German brand, Norway was not accidentally chosen to be the place of debut of electric Opel Ampera-e. The thing is that in this country there is the most developed infrastructure for cars with electric power plants. By the way, in the near future fleet of electric cars in Norway will exceed 100 million units. A variety of federal benefits explains popularity of such machines in the country. So, when buying electric vehicles Norwegian residents are exempt from VAT, as well as they get the right to receive a free car charging.

According to official data of the German brand, in the future electric car Opel Ampera-e of 2017 model year will be in Germany, France, Switzerland and the Netherlands. In these countries “green” novelty will appear by the end of next year. Other markets will get electric car in late 2017 and early 2018.
