Opel presented the development plan up to 2022

Opel has announced an updated development plan called Drive 2022, calculated respectively by 2022.

By 2022, Opel and Vauxhall are going to take 8% of the market in Europe. Profit before tax is expected to grow by 5%. The company plans to not skimp on the quality of products, but rather to take it up as the level of satisfaction of customers and employees. Opel will focus on three priorities: the model, brand and depth of penetration into the market. New proposals in the model and motor schemes will only grow: in the next four years the company plans to release 27 new models and 17 new engines.

Second priority is strengthening the perception of the brand Opel as emotional, affordable German brand. These values will be achieved, including through the introduction of new technologies. For example, a new generation of multimedia system OnStar, that allows you to turn the car into an access point. The third direction is growing market share. By 2022 German Opel plans to occupy 10% of the market (now – 7.2%). In Europe, the company intends to increase its market share from 5.8% to 8%. By that time Opel expects to take second place in Europe.
