Madchen & Motoren turned Opel GT 2008 into 530-horsepower car

On the basis of the revived in 2007 Opel GT sports car German company Madchen & Motoren built track car with a powerful eight-cylinder motor. The car was built with the rules of FIA (International Automobile Federation) and is ready to participate in a variety of motorsport events.

Compact coupe, which easily can be converted into a roadster received light aerodynamic, which expanded the body of the car by 80 mm. Authors bright racing livery for housing are specialists of the German company Cam Shaft. In the interior of the car is a steel safety cage, racing “buckets” Recaro Pro Racer, three-spoke steering wheel and alkantar digital display instead of the usual panel board devices.

Bare metal panels on the floor a little brightened Alcantara tight torpedo. The use of lightweight materials and the removal of unnecessary equipment with individual elements plating has reduced the weight of 175 kg – 1150 kg. Track Opel GT equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 LS3 engine from Chevrolet Corvette, an outstanding 530 horsepower and is paired with a manual six-speed transmission Tremec TR 6060 from the Corvette ZR1. Motor equipped with a specially developed system of four-issue, which starts right from the new exhaust manifold. Sports suspension, traction control and Racelogic disc brakes from the Porsche 911 GT3 RS with 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston calipers in the rear provide exceptional handling. Reliable grip in the car provide a 18-inch alloy wheels ATS, “packed” in tires 295/30.
