Opel Corsa has become a 205-hp hot-hatch

Opel has officially introduced the “charged” hatchback Corsa OPC new generation. The public debut of the model will be held in early March at the Motor Show in Geneva. The first information about the car and the picture were laid by the British magazine Evo, but soon after that the news has been removed from the site.
For comparison, the previous Corsa was a 192-horsepower engine 1.6 (or 210-hp version Nurburgring Edition), competing Ford Fiesta ST and Renault Clio RS have the 180- and 200-horsepower, respectively.

The front-drive hot hatch equipped with a 1.6-liter turbocharged “four” power of 205 hp (280 Nm) and a six-speed manual gearbox. From zero to 96 kilometers per hour, this Corsa can accelerate in 6.8 seconds, and from 80 to 120 kilometers per hour – 6.6 seconds. Maximum speed is 230 miles per hour.

New also received recustomized steering, Koni shock absorbers on the front axle, the release of Remus and aerodynamic body kit with a large rear spoiler, which according to representatives of the brand is not a decorative element, but does create additional downforce.
In addition, the model will be available an optional set of Performance Package. It will include Drexler limited slip differential on the front axle, stiffer suspension, Brembo brakes with 330-millimeter discs and 18-inch wheels.
