Convertible Opel Cascada got a new engine

Opel presented the new 2.0-liter CDTI diesel engine for the convertible Cascada, which is already used on Insignia and Zafira Tourer. The power unit has a maximum output of 125 kW (170 hp) and maximum torque of 400 Nm. This is 3% more power and 14% more torque than its predecessor.

The new engine Cascada 2.0 CDTI is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, the appropriate standards “Euro 6″, in the combined cycle consumes 4.9 l / 100 km. At the same time, up to 100 km / h convertible can accelerate in 10.3 seconds. Top speed is 218 km / h.

Despite the slight increase in capacity (+ 3%), increase torque is 14%, while average fuel consumption has been reduced for 6%. In mixed mode, the updated engine will consume 4.9 liters of “diesel fuel” at the distance of 100 kilometers. CO2 emissions consist 129 g / km.
